Did you know that 1 in 10 Canadian households are food insecure?
From September 1-15, Blush Lane Organic Market ran a food drive to support the Calgary Food Bank and the Edmonton Food Bank to help ensure all members of our communities have access to nutritious and tasty food. The Calgary and Edmonton Food Banks are the first line of emergency food support for families and individuals facing crisis. They are the city’s main charitable food hubs and most the most accessible food banks in Calgary and Edmonton, serving families, individuals and organizations within to fight hunger and its root cause!
Blush Lane believes no one should go hungry which was the primary reason why Blush Lane decided to partner with our local foodbanks. During the food drive, customers had the option to donate their dollars or choose to donate their reward points, where 100% of the proceeds go to their cities food bank in order to purchase essential hampers for those in need.
We are delighted to announce that we raised a total of $4,118 across both cities all thanks to our wonderful customers! Thank you to our customers for making this fundraiser a success and helping Blush Lane support those in need.
