The province of B.C. is dealing with a “significant atmospheric river,” according to Environment and Climate Change Canada, resulting in copious amounts of rain and record-setting floods that are devastating B.C. communities.  

As we try to support our employees, their families and yours in the affected areas, SPUD and Blush Lane are facing very real impacts from the heavy rainfall, highway closures and mudslides that will likely affect you in many ways.  

What is happening? 

The complex problem of moving goods from A to B has been made even more complicated by record-breaking rainfall and flooding in B.C. that have washed out rail lines and highways in the lower mainland.  

What does this mean for me? 

The heavy rainfall across BC that has resulted in highway closures and mudslides has greatly impacted the movement of goods and the transportation of our daily deliveries from our wonderful farmers and suppliers.

We are working with your favourite producers and makers to support them in managing stock availability as the flooding experienced in BC will impact accessibility to product within Alberta through the coming weeks.

We ask for your patience and understanding as our suppliers get back on their feet and our delivery services are restored.
